Central Music Awards Replaces Obama City Music Awards

The long anticipated Central music award is here at last and has been slated for December 26, 2016 at Cape Coast Centre for National Culture.

Central Music Awards, which until now known as Obama City Music Awards, is an annual event organized by Candimania Entertainment and has been observed for four consecutive years and continues to be the biggest musical event in Central region.

Briefing Ghanashow.com, the Chief Executive Officer of Candymania Entertainment, Lucas Candid Mensah revealed that a call for entries will begin in October.

The Sompa FM's Drive Time host assured musicians, producers and music fans within the region that this year's event will be an extraordinary one since it has been packaged in a distinctive form.

Some of the activities that have been planned in line with the event include Nominees' Jam on November 26 while the awards night falls on December 26.

The theme for this year's event is: Be Original, Craft an Identity.

SO, YOUR BOSS LIES. HOW DO YOU HANDLE THAT

Bosses can create plenty of problems. Sometimes they’re mean, sometimes they micromanage, and sometimes, they refuse to manage at all. 

But finding out your boss lies takes a strained employee-manager relationship to another level. Once that trust is eroded, it becomes hard to follow your boss’ direction, wondering if he or she is taking you down the right path or leading you astray. Everything that comes out of his or her mouth becomes questionable—information about the company’s status, promises of raises or new projects, and even affirmation for your good work suddenly seems questionable. And that makes it extremely difficult to do your job effectively. 

So what happens when you catch your boss in a lie—or several? 

For me, having a manager who lied wasn’t so much an issue of figuring out how to make him or her stop. Lying usually isn’t something you can simply manage out of someone. And so, it became more about reconciling with myself if I could continue working for a boss I didn’t fully trust. 

To do that, I asked myself a couple key questions that helped me get down to the root of the issue and decide how I should move forward.  

• How Does it Impact You and Those Around You? 
• Does your boss lie to conceal his or her own short-comings? 
• Is your Boss  manipulative, weak, incompetent, dishonest, unfair? 
• When things go wrong, does your boss lie to shift the blame?  

Why do Bosses Lie?  

• People tell lies because lies are a fast, cheap shortcut to a goal.   
• Most of us lie or exaggerate in trivial ways - to make a story more interesting or to gain sympathy from a friend, and the consequences are generally harmless. 
• But when bosses lie, the stakes can be very high. Daily misery, low morale, stress, absenteeism, illness, redundancy and poverty can all result. 

What do your boss's lies tell you about them? When you understand their drivers you can use those very drivers to leverage a better outcome for you.

Information available to Peacefmonline.com indicates that, contemporary High-Life music legend, Daasebre Gyamenah has died at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra early Friday morning.

A close family member disclosed this to Peacefmonline.com.

The award winning artiste according to the family was battling with an illness (undisclosed) and was admitted at Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.

Many are those who know ace highlife singer, Daasebre Gyamenah as “Ahoofe”, a name his fans gave him after the release of his hit song, “Ahoofe”, which literally means beautiful or the handsome one.

BREAKING NEWS: Sarkodie Duped By Fake Jay Z

New York – African record labels, no matter how bigger they are would still expect to be signed by American based record labels.
Rapper Sarkodie who recently made news about a new record deal with Jay Z’s Roc Nation has been conned an amount  of $15,000 according to online reports.
A press statement release by the New York Police after Sarkodie officially lodged a complaint quoted the rapper as saying:
“Early this year I was contacted by Roc Nation stable lead by media and music mogul Jay Z, they revealed that they have been watching my talent and wish to sign me.
We exchanged a lot of emails and even their secretary used to call me. In early July I was instructed to deposit an amount of $15,000 in a certain online account.
The money was supposed to market my music and myself as a brand under Roc Nation since then they never communicated with me, all phone numbers are off line and emails no longer functional. I knew I was conned.
“Right now I am concentrating on my SARKCESS label and I hope to improve my career and make hay while the sun still shines. I have moved on from the fake Jay Z deal, it was one of the life lessons.
